Jesse Daniel Edwards grew up songwriting with his 6 siblings- his first was an ode to his mother's mashed potatoes. As he grew, he continued to put forth his brand of honest and heartfelt lyrics.
“I spent my teens traveling , and cut my teeth in towns like Asheville, Atlanta, and Dublin. The folk traditions affected me strongly,” Jesse says of his inspiration.
“I didn’t know how to get gigs, so I busked on street corners until people started inviting me indoors. I learned what lyrics people would take notice of on their way home from work. It was a crash course in songwriting.”
Since then, JDE moved to Nashville becoming the protégé of Al Bunetta (John Prine). He has performed full-time on the college and music festival circuits and has had songs featured in radio, television, and independent films. His music is available on Netflix, Apple Music, and Spotify.
