Hen’s Teeth is a fantastic and unique American duo featuring Janie Rothfield and Nathan Bontrager - two powerhouse and inventive American roots musicians who specialize in traditional and original American traditional style music.
Hen’s Teeth music is firmly rooted in the American Old Time tradition but takes on a completely unique sound that is a result of their own inventive, soulful, wild and improvisational approach to their music. This is American roots music at its most dynamic, full of power, soul, creativity and whimsy. Janie and Nathan formed in 2016 and since then have toured in Europe 3 times, as well as concerts and workshops on the US East and West Coast!
Janie and Nathan will take you on a musical journey with a magical combination of fiddles, cello, clawhammer banjo and fine singing that makes the musical sparks fly! P
