Vanishing Point is a monthly series exploring musical styles, movements and personalities through live improvisation. Each month an ever-changing array of musicians seasoned in the brave art of live improv will perform two epic sets, deconstructing iconic songs to a near infinite point, with hypnotic projections to accompany the ride. On Monday, June 5th the intrepid improv warriors of Vanishing Point will transverse the unique terrain of Roxy Music’s Virginia Plain and Rush’s Tom Sawyer, transforming Portland’s most cherished speakeasy, Valentines, into a prog-rock research and development lab!
