Nature Thief is four young humans' inquiry into the values of the natural and manmade world. Through haunted lyrics and haunting melodies, they steal inspiration from the corners of the earth. Melodic fingerpicking often gives way to heavy guitar riffs; ambient synth pads are replaced by driving bass lines. They embrace the complexity and emotional heft of Deerhunter or Dirty Projectors but emphasize an intimate yet strong vocal quality reminiscent of Jenny Lewis or Björk. Nature Thief encourages their audience to dance, sway, and think about the world's most prevalent dichotomies.
