Andy Shauf has been compared to Elliott Smith, Paul Simon, and Nick Drake, among other artists. He appears tonight with his five-piece band (including lots of clarinet) in advance of his show the next night at Mississippi Studios. Tender Loving Empire and Party Damage Records are co-releasing Shauf's album, The Bearer of Bad News, out Feb. 3.
