The idea was simple originally... Put together a Talking Heads tribute band and play a couple of shows in the Northwest. The members of our band, Werebearcat, are all huge fans of Talking Heads and consider the band a large inspiration for the art and music we create. We’re a three piece band, so none of us wanted to play a 30 minute set as part of another show. That just didn’t fit the bill for what we had in mind. We wanted it to be bigger than that. A night of Talking Heads and dancing that would really stick with you. We wanted the experience of one of our favorite bands playing a full set of our favorite songs at an intimate club... with a full band!
So we talked about what we wanted it to be, how we could pull it off... and what we came up with is… This Is Not My Beautiful Band! An 8-piece band compromised of talented musicians who have been practicing together all year to put together an incredible set of the best of Talking Heads.
