I AM THE LAKE OF FIRE is my current obsession. Davis Hooker writes blasted judgement day hymns, like 'I AM THE PRINCE OF THE AIR'. Fallen and otherworldly. I stumbled upon him opening for Viking Moses, the air shook with his voice - it was like stormclouds gathering. His pictures are all backwards. He's played in a gazillion bands. He is a local treasure. His EPs have been my favorite deep listening of the summer.
Its free as a bird, always a nice time.
